Last week, I celebrated my 40th birthday. Everyone seems to make a big deal (in a negative way) about turning 40, especially when it's a female reaching the dreaded age. It's as if life ends at 40.
My Grandmother is 94 years old and still taking plane rides by herself across the ocean. The way I choose to see it, I've only lived 42.55% of my life so far. That isn't even half. I think 40 is going to be my best year yet.
There is always the chance some crazy bad illness is going to find me and ruin my plans, but I choose not to think about it unless it happens. Many women nowadays are starting their own companies and even having babies after 40.
It's the point in time, when we've made it through a wide variety of life situations, and we finally feel like we might actually know what the heck we are doing. We probably still don't, but we have the confidence that we do.
Leave a comment below if you agree that 40 is not the end of the world. It's a new chapter.

Thank you for the sweet comment, Zaria!
Happy belated birthday! If you didn’t mention you being 40, I would definitely say that you are around your 25. Yes, you heard me! 25! Keep shining!
