January 01, 2014
Nurture is my word for 2014. 2013 felt very hectic. You know, the old "there is never enough time in a day?" So, this new year will focus on self-care, movement, relaxation, simplification, and fun. I will be getting away from the time waster called "the world wide web." Probably the biggest time sucker in my life.
I will nurture my health with better eating, exercise and hopefully better sleep.
I will nurture my body with spending lots of time off my tush, movement, yoga, massages and facials.
I will nurture my mind with less worry and stress, online courses, books, journal writing, listening to music, visiting with family & friends and spending more time in nature.
I will nurture my time with less procrastination, vacations and not overextending myself with unnecessary obligations.
I will nurture my home with organization, simplification, completing repairs and upkeep.
I will nurture my finances with a budget to follow, paying off some debt and canceling services I do not need or use enough.
I will nurture my art by actually creating art. Keep your eyes open for more charcoal & graphite drawings. In 2013, I spent a lot of time on my website and shops, and playing around with paints. It's time to get back to my passion.
Feel free to check out my Nurture Pinterest Board. I will be adding pins throughout the year as reminders, inspirations and motivation.
Do you have a word for 2014? Do you have resolutions or goals? Or do you resolve not to have resolutions?
