Have you ever taken time to notice tree roots in your yard, around your neighborhood or in your nearest parks and forest preserves? The strength and intricacy is simply amazing. A design all its own. Some roots dig deep down into the earth, while others rest on top of the soil and spread out far and wide. Then there are those who share their space with other trees and their roots.
In a way, trees and their roots remind me of people and their personalities. The trees with the strong deep roots are like people who are strong, independent and determined. The trees with roots that spread out far and wide remind me of introverts who like their personal space. The trees with roots that share space would be socialble extroverts.
And then there are those that cannot support themselves.
Many correlations are seen between living things found in nature and people. What correlations do you see?

Wonderful series of pics. I love tree roots. I remember as a kid always being very impressed by the tangle of roots & earth of trees that had fallen over.
Thank you, Iris. Trees were one of my favorite things to draw as a kid.
